Happy 90th Birthday to Kalorik! Here's How We're Celebrating

Bust out your champagne bottles, because 2020 marks the 90th anniversary of Kalorik! This year, we honor our history and achievements with a very exciting campaign. Combining our passion for art and design, aligned with a humanitarian cause, our 90 Years of Kalorik campaign is centered around what inspires us to cook. We take this time to reflect on how our own life experiences illustrate our profound, nostalgic connection with food.

Established in Belgium in 1930, Kalorik was one of the first kitchen and small home appliance manufacturers in Europe to develop the electric toaster. The brand is known for superior engineering and cutting-edge product development, always in pursuit of the latest and greatest technologies that make people’s lives easier. Nearly a century later, Kalorik remains at the forefront of innovation, evolving and adapting products to fit our ever-changing lifestyles.

Food is emotion, love, joy. Cooking is, in all its simplicity, a uniquely nostalgic experience, capable of bringing people of all walks of life together. When enjoyed with our community, these primal moments create a bond that cannot be compared. On this milestone anniversary, we celebrate more than just our achievements. We instead take a moment to acknowledge the beauty of food and cooking. To express this through our campaign, we selected four influencers in the food industry who teamed up with artist Luiza Lafitte to create four spectacular designs based on what inspires each influencer.

Fans and followers are invited to vote for their favorite design now through February 28th. The winning influencer will have their design printed on a limited anniversary edition air fryer, with a portion of the proceeds going to Feed My Starving Children. Kalorik will donate $10 from every limited-edition air fryer sold, enough to provide 40 healthy, nutritious meals for hungry children in need.

Ready to meet our influencers? Visit our 90 years of Kalorik landing page here to learn more about them and our brilliant artist Luiza Laffitte. Don’t forget to place your vote and let us know which design is your favorite!
