The Very Best Berry Fruit Jerky

Ingredients
2 cups mixed berries
2 tablespoons honey
¼ teaspoons vanilla extract
¼ teaspoons ground ginger 
1 pinch salt
1 teaspoon lime juice
½ teaspoon lime zest (optional)

EQUIPMENT

Saucepan
Blender
Sieve (optional)
Spurtle

Directions:

Step 1 

Combine berries, honey, vanilla, and ginger in a saucepan. Bring to a simmer and use the back of a wooden spoon to mash the berries and release their juices.

Step 2 
Simmer berries until they have become a thick jam.
Step 3
Remove from the heat and mix in the lime juice & zest.
Step 4
Pour jam while still warm into a blender or food processor and puree until smooth. If you prefer a smooth fruit leather, you can strain the puree at this point.
Step 5
Using a square of parchment, the size of your air frying basket, spread puree into a smooth even layer no more than 1/8th of an inch thick, working in batches if necessary.
Step 6
Insert the dehydrating tray, indents pointing up, into the upper most slot in the cabinet.
Step 7
Insert your air frying basket with puree into your MAXX.
Step 8
Set your MAXX Air Fryer Oven Grill to the dehydrate function and cook at 150F for 6-9 hours or until the fruit is dried and no longer sticky on top but still pliable.
Step 9
Remove, cut into strips using scissors or a sharp knife, and wrap tightly in plastic wrap. Enjoy!
