Wholesome Oat Milk - Made Fresh!

Oat milk is a plant-based milk alternative made from oats. It is a healthy choice, high in fiber and protein, and suitable for people with lactose intolerance or following a vegan or plant-based diet. It has a creamy, slightly sweet taste and can be used in a similar way to cow's milk.

Ingredients

3 cups oats
6 cups water
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 tbsp agave or maple syrup
½ teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Measure out your oats into a resealable jar or container. Cover oats generously with cold water. Soak overnight
  2. In the carafe of a blender add soaked oats, 4 cups of water, vanilla, agave, and cinnamon if desired.
  3. Blend on high for 3-4 minutes or until a milky liquid has formed. Strain if desired.

Recipe Note

Chef’s Tip:
No time to soak your oats overnight? Cover oats with hot water and allow to hydrate for 30-60 minutes and follow from step 2!
