Mom, thank you for always being supportive of the direction I chose to take in my life. We may not have always seen eye to eye, but you let me be who I wanted to be without letting me step too far over the edge. You kept me grounded, taught me how to take care of myself, AND to not take things too seriously! I love you mom.
My favorite Mother’s Day, was when my daughters were ten and two. My oldest asked her aunt to write her the pancake recipe but her aunt forgot to tell her how long the pancakes should be cooked for. I woke up to find my youngest with batter all over her and my kitchen dusted in flour. They were so proud of the job that they had done. I was very grateful to eat my burnt pancakes. They were delicious.
